Graduated from Lyndon State College in 1980 with a Bachelor's in Environmental Education. Worked as a Park Ranger for the State of Vermont Forest and Parks Service from 1980-1983. Relocated to New Jersey in September 1983 and worked in custom home design and construction until 1997.
